It’s that time of year again when the summer holidays come to an end and the kids head back to school. But while the school routine returns, the fun doesn’t have to stop! Before we look ahead to September’s events, let’s take a look back at August’s highlights!

Mr. Tickle marked the 55^th anniversary of Mr. Men & Little Miss with a visit to Battersea Power Station.

Children’s favourites including Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Hey Duggee, Supertato, Bluey, Bing and more joined the line-ups at family festivals, bringing lots of joy to the festivalgoers. They were spotted at Camp Bestival, Gloworm Festival, CarFest, The Big Festival and Victorious Festival.

Room on the Broom’s The Witch and The Cat made her debut appearances at various Forestry venues up and down the UK to join in on their exciting, themed trail. She had an amazing time.

The schools have officially broken up, and we have quite the lineup to keep you, your family and friends busy throughout August!

First let's take a look back at July's highlights!

The new movie Minions & Monsters was released this month, with new minions James & Henry very busy promoting the newest film in the franchise.

Willows Farm introduced the newest member of the Peter Rabbit friends and family at their park. Jeremy Fisher has joined the fun on the farm, and we can’t wait to see more from this gentleman.

Bluey & Bingo headed to Battersea Park for 5 days of Big Day Out - a week of excitement to kick-start the school holidays!

We saw Marshall & Rhubarb welcoming guests at the launch of the PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie UK, which is coming out in cinemas on August 6^th! We can’t wait!

Finaly festival season is well and truly underway and there's only more to come throughout August:

Camp Bestival, Dorset (1st–2nd August)

Bing, Supertato and Hey Duggee are appearing on 1st August, with Bluey also joining the fun. On 2nd August, Bluey is returning alongside Ubercorn, Zog and Hey Duggee.

Gloworm Festival, Newark (7th–9th August)

Supertato is kicking off the festival on 7th August. On 8th August, the festival is welcoming Bing, SpongeBob, Baby Shark & BebeFinn, Skye, Rubble & Marshall, Hey Duggee, Dobble and Bluey. On 9th August, Paddington, Baby Shark & BebeFinn, Bluey, SpongeBob, Supertato, Zog, Skye, Rubble & Marshall and Dobble are all appearing.

CarFest, Silverstone (28th–30th August)

On 28th August, Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Hey Duggee and Supertato are all appearing. On 29th August, Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Hey Duggee and Supertato are returning for another day of fun. On 30th August, Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Hey Duggee are rounding off the weekend.

Victorious Festival, Southsea (28th–30th August)

Fireman Sam and Dobble are appearing on 28th August. Dobble is returning on 29th August, and Supertato is making a special activation appearance on 30th August.

Recently young shoppers joined in with Hey Duggee during his Stick Song activity at the Merrion Centre in Leeds, while Bluey and Bingo wowed fans at Mrs Dowsons Farm Park in Blackburn with the Toybox activity. 

Peter Rabbit™ also made a special appearance at the National Trust’s Knole site in Kent as part of their The World of Peter Rabbit™ Storytime Trail, bringing the site to life and creating everlasting memories for visitors.

With two bank holiday weekends and a half term, May has been a busy month for character appearances.

Paddington™ reopened the newly refurbished flagship store in Paddington Station and was on-hand to greet young shoppers…everyone’s lovable superhero, Supertato, headed to Gulliver’s Theme Park in Warrington…and Bluey helped to open the new Matalan store at Gallions Reach Shopping Park in Beckton!

May has been a month of surprises for Peppa Pig fans too, as Peppa welcomed her new baby sister, Evie, to the family! Mummy Pig and Evie joined Peppa at VUE Cinema Leicester Square for a sneak-peek at her new oinktastic cinema experience ‘Peppa Meets the Baby’ which hit selected cinemas on 30^th May. A huge congratulations to the whole Pig family!

February was filled with fun events.  We saw Dogman visiting cinemas across the country to promote  the release of his new movie and Paddington™ went on a half-term adventure to the Eden Project in Cornwall celebrate the home release of Paddington in Peru.

Plus, following their big BAFTA win for their recent movie Vengeance Most Foul, Wallace & Gromit attended Animate Preston’s grand opening alongside creator Nick Park CBE, as well as the unveiling of the city's new permanent resident, the criminal mastermind Feathers McGraw!

We had some fantastic events last month, which definitely helped cure our January Blues.  Paddington™  spent the start of the year at Wookey Hole Caves in Somerset, the Teletubbies joined in the fun at RuPaul’s Dragcon 2025 at ExCeL London, and Zog kicked off his 15^th anniversary celebrations with a visit to The Light in Redhill for a screening of his film.

Plus, January saw the return of the annual London Toy Fair at Kensington Olympia.  Over 50 characters walked the aisles including Supertato, Ginger from Vegesaurs and Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse, who have all recently joined our licensor character portfolio and are available to book for UK events.

Last month Mr. Strong and Little Miss Sunshine visited UNIQLO in Westfield White City to support the launch of the Crisis x Mr. Men Little Miss collaboration.  Proceeds from the sale of the limited-edition t-shirt and embroidery range are being donated to Crisis, the charity for people experiencing homelessness.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Leo, Raph, Donnie & Mikey – also appeared at various retailers across the country to promote the release of their new video game, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed.

Everyone’s favourite bear, Paddington™, was spotted on the red carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards in London, before presenting a Child of Courage award to five-year-old Aiyla Mota.

Finally, children were invited to step into a magical world of play this October half term when Pip and Posy took part in their shopping centre tour!

Festival-goers at Camp Bestival, Gloworm, Victorious Festival and Car Fest were treated to guest appearances by a number of children’s favourites including Bluey, PAW Patrol and Cheer Bear!

To celebrate the arrival of ‘Bluey’s Big Play’ in Dublin, Bluey also visited Dublin Castle where children presented her with wonderful drawings of her and her whole family.

Plus, True from True and the Rainbow Kingdom made her debut appearance at The Broadway Shopping Centre in Bradford.

What a month April turned out to be!

From Bluey’s two-week stint at Kew Gardens, to Paddington’s appearance at Westfield’s Upside-down Sunflower Garden, and the Gruffalo’s visit to Sterling Mills Shopping Centre in Scotland, the Easter half-term was definitely jam-packed with plenty of exciting events!

October saw the return of the renowned Character Parade at Brand Licensing Europe and it didn’t disappoint.  At just under one mile it was the longest parade in the history of BLE with 66 characters including Barney, Paddington™ and The Wombles walking the route at ExCeL London.

Poppy & Branch also promoted the release of their new movie ‘Trolls Band Together’, Sonic flew to the Netherlands for Lego® World 2023 and Pip and Posy set out on a half-term tour of shopping centres to raise brand awareness.

 

November marks the start of the annual Elves Behavin’ Badly Christmas Tour.  The popular pranking Elfie and Elvie will be helping shoppers get into the festive spirit at the following shopping centres:
