At Rainbow Productions we know that having a mascot is much more than just owning a costume. As a result, we offer a wide range of support services, from costume cleaning and refurbishment, to storage solutions, to performance training – all geared towards helping maintain your mascot to ensure that you get the most out of your investment.
If you are planning a grand unveiling of your mascot – perhaps in front of media or at a high profile event – and would like the help of Rainbow Productions to supply a performer to portray your mascot for this, or additional, one-off events, please let us know. We work with a number of clients on this basis, leaving them free to focus on their wider events.
The Wardrobe Department at Rainbow Productions specialises in the expert maintenance, repair, and rejuvenation of mascots and costumes, whether they were originally created by Rainbow or another manufacturer. Our skilled team ensures every costume is restored as close to its original quality as possible, through repairing wear and tear, deep cleaning, or replacing damaged components. All costumes are carefully assessed to provide tailored refurbishment solutions that maintain their integrity and design.
In addition to our refurbishment services, we offer professional care and laundering advice to help clients properly maintain their costumes between uses. Our guidance ensures costumes stay clean, fresh, and in top condition, extending their lifespan and preserving their vibrant appearance. Committed to quality and durability, our cost-effective solutions keep every costume event-ready and visually stunning.
To organise the cleaning of your costume character, please contact us and we’ll be able to arrange the collection and delivery, provide a quote and schedule a date to suit you.
From managing nationwide licensed character tours, to arranging sampling activities centred on character appearances, Rainbow Productions have you covered.
We work with licensors to take their children’s properties on tours. These work particularly well within retail environments and shopping centres, where the presence of a costume character alongside sampling activities helps generate added interest from shoppers.
For clients who have asked us to develop bespoke mascot costumes, we can also help them to extend their brand into live events for added publicity.
Being a mascot is not as simple as just wearing the costume. The performer must embody the mascot’s character, taking on its form and personality to capture the audience’s attention.
We love sharing our enthusiasm and passion for mascot performance! Our training workshops provide tips on character portrayal, interacting with the public, the importance of gesture and health and safety, as well as advice on how to store costumes. Each attendee will also receive a training manual to take home.
Working with a wide variety of clients, including Character IP owners, UK and international sports tournaments and global travel companies, our workshops aim to ensure consistency in how the mascot interacts during personal appearances at company events, campaigns, and public appearances.
The training sessions can be held on-site at client venues or at our London studio. We can even travel overseas.
Purpose-made carry sacks and flight cases are available to protect your costume in transit, helping it arrive in peak condition. We have also developed a bespoke Self-Assembly Storage Unit to store your costume safely – particularly in tight spaces.
To help keep your staff cooler in costume, cool vests are available and cooling systems can be fitted inside costume heads.
Rainbow Productions offers clients the facility to store their mascot costumes at our purpose-built studio.
This service is available on a quarterly basis and includes our experienced team cleaning and maintaining your costume character.
We can also coordinate the costume’s collection and delivery to your customers.
