Here at Rainbow HQ the month of November keeps us even busier than usual, co-ordinating the presence of famous children’s characters at festive events up and down the country. Christmas Lights Switch-ons within shopping centres. Family-orientated activities on High Streets organised by local councils and Business Improvement Districts (BIDs). Retailers unveiling their Christmas window displays. Radio stations sponsoring festive community events. The list goes on.
Sunday 20 November also marks the return of the hugely popular Hamleys’ Christmas Toy Parade.
Planning for the 2016 Parade has been underway for months and Rainbow Productions is thrilled to again be working with Hamleys and toy and licensing brand owners on this large-scale central London event.
So if you find yourself in London on Sunday 20 November, keep an eye out for record numbers of famous licensed children’s characters - from the world of television, film, publishing and online - all taking part in the Hamleys' Christmas Toy Parade along Regent Street.
During this free event, Regent Street will be closed to traffic between 10.30am and 4.30pm. After the Parade has taken place, there will be opportunities for families to see many characters in dedicated zones positioned along Regent Street.
To date, the Hamleys’ Christmas Toy Parade 2016 Line-Up includes Rainbow Productions co-ordinating and managing the live appearances of the following children's characters:
The Teletubbies; Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy and Tails; the Twirlywoos; Bing & Flop; Ubercorn and Glitch from the Go Jetters; Paddington; Danger Mouse and his car; Noddy; Q Pootle 5; The Gruffalo; Hey Duggee; Dino Charge Power Rangers; Peppa Pig; Tree Fu Tom; Mim-Mim from Kate & Mim-Mim; Bob the Builder; Fireman Sam; Care Bears; Postman Pat; Elmo and Phoebe from The Furchester Hotel and Ty Beanie Boo characters.
