NEW CHARACTERS TO PUT A SPRING IN YOUR STEP!

Last week was an exciting milestone for UK sports mascots! We were thrilled to see the launch of the official Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games mascot, Perry.  The colourful bull looks incredible and has received a great reaction from the public.  You can see the moment he met Emma Lou, the winner of the Mascot Makers competition here.

Spring is finally here and, with lockdown beginning to ease, we’re ready to put characters back in front of children and families… all socially-distanced of course! And what’s more, we will be joined by some new faces in 2021!

  • The Smurfs: These beloved characters are making a comeback this year with a brand new CG-animated TV series set to launch on Nickelodeon. So there’s no better time to add Smurf to our portfolio!
  • Tom & Jerry: Hot on the heels of their big screen debut, this chaotic double act will be available to attend UK events.
  • Bugs Bunny & Daffy Duck: With Space Jam: A New Legacy set to hit UK cinemas in July, this wascally wabbit and unlucky duck team up for some Looney events.
  • Scooby-Doo:  The ever-popular and easily-scared Great Dane is joining our character list, perfect for those spooktacular Halloween events.
  • DC Super Heroes: Part of the Justice League team – Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman – are ready to answer the call to duty.

As we rebuild a brighter future for Rainbow, we are making it a priority to develop our events programme in terms of equality, diversity and inclusivity.

As a result, we are currently working on Sensory Character Appearances to ensure we have a strong portfolio of character events which can provide equal access to people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalised, such as those having physical or mental disabilities or belonging to minority groups.

On top of this, we are busy producing new character mini shows and activations to further expand our choice for clients… so watch this space!

Here’s a sneak peek at the events we have coming up this month…

14th April: Peter Rabbit™ is hopping along to Adventure Wonderland in Bournemouth

17th April: Old MacDonald’s Farm in Essex welcome Chase & Marshall, followed by Peter Rabbit™ on 24th April.
