JULY 2013: UK EVENTS WITH ADDED CHARACTER

As well as manufacturing custom-made mascots for brands and organisations, Rainbow Productions’ Events Department manages the personal appearances of over 100 famous children’s characters.

A selection of bookings for July is detailed below; event venues and character appearances are subject to change.

  • July 1st: Postman Pat will be in Kendal making personal appearances on behalf of Classic Media.
  • July 6th: Hallmark Cards has arranged for the Forever Friends Bear to attend an event in Windsor Great Park, Virginia Water.  Last Sunday, 30th June, the Forever Friends Bear was also present at an event within Bluewater Shopping Centre.
  • July 6th & 7th: Peppa Pig is going to Northern Ireland to meet shoppers at Tesco in Newry.
  • July 6th & 7thMike the Knight is going to Warwick Castle.
  • July 7th: Ben 10 and Shocksquatch will be at Market Rasen Racecourse.
  • July 7thStafford Festival takes place in Victoria park an on the Sunday Ben and Holly from Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom will be present.
  • July 7th: Fireman Sam is going to old MacDonald’s Farm in Brentwood.
  • July 9th – 11th: BBC Yorkshire has arranged for Wallace & Gromit plus Shaun the Sheep to make appearances over the course of the three-day Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate.
  • July 11th: The Mall in Walthamstow has booked Captain Barnacles from the Octonauts.
  • July 13th: Bournemouth’s Adventure Wonderland will be hosting a visit by Katsuma from the Moshi Monsters.
  • July 13th: Buddy from Dinosaur Train will be out and about at Smyth’s Toys in Fareham, booked by Tomy UK.
  • July 13th:  Mummy Pig joins Peppa today at Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire.  The next day, July 14th, Daddy Pig will be accompanying Peppa at this visitor attraction.
  • July 14th: The ZingZillas will be performing their mini show at an event in Central Park, East Ham arranged by the London Borough of Newham.
  • July 14th: Bob the Builder is set to meet passengers at Leighton Buzzard Railway.
  • July 14th: Guests at Wheelgate Park in Mansfield will have an opportunity to see Tree Fu Tom.
  • July 15th: Hero Next Door, Fireman Sam, is heading to the races; he’ll be greeting family race-goers at Ayr Racecourse in Scotland.
  • July 20th: Quainton Railway Society has booked Peppa Pig and George to make guest appearances at Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.
  • July 22nd: Crealy’s in Devon will receive a visit from Rastamouse and Scratchy.  On the following day, July 23rd, the duo will head to sister park, Crealy’s Cornwall.
  • July 24th: Finkley Down Farm in Andover will be welcoming Peppa Pig to the attraction as added entertainment for guests.
  • July 24th: Another farm park, White Post Farm in Mansfield, will be welcoming Fireman Sam today.
  • July 25th: Baba Pink from pre-school TV series Cloudbabies is heading to Newlands Shopping Centre in Kettering.
  • July 26th: The National Space Centre in Leicester has arranged for a visit from Mike the Knight.
  • July 27th: Norman joins Fireman Sam in a mini show which will be performed in front of shoppers during their visit to Liverpool One.
  • July 27th: Ben and Holly are attending an Asquith Nurseries event in Southgate London.
  • July 27th: Two Rivers Shopping Centre in Staines has booked an Angelina Ballerina Workshop.
  • July 27th & 28th: Scooby-Doo will be visiting Animal Farm in Somerset.
  • July 28th: Lion-O will be going to The Potteries Shopping Centre in Hanley.
  • July 28th: Ascot Racecourse has arranged for several characters to join in the fun today: Peppa Pig and George will be present as part of a narration event, plus personal appearances by Bart, Homer and Marge Simpson as well as The Fat Controller and Thomas the Tank Engine.
  • July 29th, 30th & 31st: Moshi Monsters duo Katsuma and Poppet are heading to Pembrokeshire to meet children during their day out at Folly Farm.
  • July 31st: Peppa Pig will be making personal appearances at intervals today during her visit to Lee Valley Park Farms.
