Octonauts make personal appearances inside shopping centre
Mascot maker Rainbow Productions manages the personal appearances at events across the UK of over 100 famous licensed children’s characters.
These character costumes are seen by families at venues such as shopping centres and leisure attractions including farm parks, theme parks and racecourses.
A selection of licensed character events scheduled to take place during May 2013 – where the character will meet fans at various intervals throughout the day – can be seen, below. Please note that these event venues and character appearances are subject to change.
May 4th: Mike the Knight is visiting Mead Open Farm in Leighton Buzzard.
May 5th: Ben and Holly from Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom are going to Knowsley Safari Park to meet and greet guests.
May 5th & 6th: Colne Valley Railway in Essex will receive a visit from Peppa Pig and her little brother George.
May 6th: Crealy Adventure Park in Devon is hosting a Bob the Builder mini show for visitors to enjoy during their visit to the attraction.
May 6th: Ice Age characters Sid and Scrat greet shoppers at Cascades Shopping Centre in Portsmouth.
May 6th: Animal Farm in Somerset has scheduled several character events this month, including today’s appearances by Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig from children’s television series, Peppa Pig.
May 8th: A mini show featuring Fifi Forget-Me-Not and Bumble will take place at Bluestone Resorts in Pembrokeshire.
May 9th: Tommy and Tallulah from Tickety Toc will be attending Milkshake! filming on behalf of Zodiak Rights.
May 11th: Captain Barnacles from the Octonauts will be meeting visitors at Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne.
May 12th: Peppa Pig will be seeing race-goers during her personal appearances at Worcester Racecourse.
May 18th & 19th: Daddy Pig joins Peppa Pig on her visit to M&Ds theme park in Falkirk.
May 25th: Peppa Pig will also be making in-store appearances at Tesco in Gosport, Hampshire.
May 26th: The BIG Sheep visitor attraction in Devon has booked a visit by Mike the Knight.
May 26th & 27th: Bob the Builder will be going to Bodmin Station for a couple of days.
May 26th & 27th: Meanwhile, a character event will be taking place at another railway attraction when Wallace & Gromit descend on Churnet Valley Railway Station in Staffordshire.
May 27th: Guests at Woburn Safari Park in Milton Keynes will have an opportunity to see Peppa Pig.
May 27th: Raa Raa & Ooo Ooo from television show Raa Raa the Noisy Lion will be at Whitely Shopping Centre in Fareham.
May 27th –29th: Folly Farm in Pembrokeshire has arranged for Fireman Sam and Norman to meet and greet their visitors.
May 27th & 28th: Isle of Wight attraction Blackgang Chine has arranged for Postman Pat to visit.
May 28th: Westfield London has arranged for a narration event alongside appearances by Peppa Pig and Daddy Pig.
May 28th: Aardman’s property, Timmy, will be visiting the Broad Street Mall in Reading.
May 29th: ZingZillas’ characters Tang and Drum are going to be greeting guests at Adventure Wonderland in Bournemouth.
May 29th: Waybuloo Piplings Lau Lau and De Li will be going to Reading’s Broad Street Mall.
May 30th: The character event taking place today at the Broad Street Mall sees Tree Fu Tom making appearances.
May 30th: Shoppers at Newlands in Kettering will be able to see Ben and Holly.
May 31st: Dennis the Menace and Gnasher will be attending an event organised by DC Thomson & Co.
