Rainbow Productions managed the appearances of the Madagascar Penguins at the Oxford Street Christmas Lights Switch On.
November marked the start of the busy festive season, with children’s favourites, including Mike the Knight and Evie, Peppa Pig and Captain Barnacles and Kwazii from the Octonauts, attending Christmas Light Switch On events at Town Centres and Shopping Malls across the UK.
Looking ahead to December, further Christmas events are scheduled. Rainbow Productions is also set to look after Paddington during his visit to Selfridges Department Store on London’s Oxford Street. The Madagascar Penguins, Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico, will all be attending the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball at the London’s O2 Arena. Meanwhile Fireman Sam heads to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Christmas Eve will also afford family guests taking a break at Bunn Leisure in Selsey, West Sussex, an opportunity to see The Snowman and The Snowdog™, who will be calling in to this leisure destination.
Examples of additional licensed character appearances scheduled to take place in December 2014 are detailed below. Please note that dates and venues detailed are subject to change.
Dec 2: The Snowman™ and The Snowdog are heading to Thorntons in Leeds.
Dec 3: Yate Shopping Centre will host a visit from Postman Pat® and Jess the Cat.
Dec 4: Mike the Knight gallops into the Eastbourne Arndale Centre. They will also be visited by Katsuma (Dec 13), Peppa Pig & George (Dec 16) and Postman Pat® and Jess the Cat (Dec 20).
Dec 6: Peppa Pig will be meeting shoppers at John Lewis in Welwyn Garden City.
Dec 6: Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman™ and Father Christmas™ will be spreading festive cheer at the Great North Museum in Newcastle.
Dec 6: Jorge and Jerry from The Minions are heading to The Entertainer toy store in Norwich. They will also be visiting The Entertainer in Luton on Dec 13.
Dec 6: The Royals Shopping Centre in Southend will be joined by Wallace and Gromit.
Dec 6 & 7: The Madagascar Penguins will be getting into the festive spirit at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball at the London’s O2 Arena.
Dec 6 & 7: Paddington heads to Selfridges in London. He will also visit Selfridges at the Trafford Centre on Dec 13, before heading back to Selfridges London on Dec 14, 20 and 21.
Dec 6 & 7: Tesco Solihull welcomes Ice Age™ stars Sid and Scrat.
Dec 7: Peppa Pig is going to the Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre.
Dec 10: Fremantle Media Group has arranged for Mim-Mim to attend the Chancellor’s Christmas Party.
Dec 11: Dennis the Menace and Gnasher are taking part in a photo-shoot at the Scottish Parliament, on behalf of Dogs’ Trust.
Dec 12: Postman Pat® and Jess the Cat will be visiting Alhambra Shopping Centre in Barnsley.
Dec 12: Entertainment One has arranged for Peppa Pig to make an appearance on Channel 5’s Milkshake!
Dec 12-14: Gloucester Quays will host appearances of The Snowman™ over three consecutive days.
Dec 13 & 14: Holiday makers will get the chance to meet Pingu at Heathrow Airport. Other characters visiting the airport include The Snowman™ and The Snowdog (Dec 18 & 21), Peppa Pig (Dec 19 & 20) and Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas (Dec 22 & 23).
Dec 13: Twentieth Century Fox has arranged for the Madagascar Penguins to make an appearance at Festival Leisure Park in Basildon.
Dec 17: The Snowman™ will be meeting passengers boarding the Heathrow Express at Paddington Station.
Dec 20: SpongeBob SquarePants arrives at City Arcade in Coventry.
Dec 20: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are heading to Lower Precinct Shopping Centre in Coventry,
Dec 21: Selfridges Manchester will welcome Peppa Pig.
Dec 21: Ben & Holly arrive at Bunn Leisure in Selsey. Holiday makers will also have the chance to meet The Snowman™ and The Snowdog (Dec 24) and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Dec 28).
