Festive Character Events & Retail Support

Christmas Lights Switch-On events at UK High Streets and shopping centres started last month and continue into December.

Last month, on November 20Rainbow Productions managed the presence of 44 licensed children’s characters at the Hamley’s Christmas Toy Parade along London’s Regent Street - the world's largest toy parade.

During December there is set to be more personal appearances by Mr. Adventure across London Heathrow airport terminals. His appearance dates are currently scheduled as being December 9th and 10th as well as from the 15th – 21st.

December also sees Rainbow Productions continue to work with Spin Master Toys to deliver in-store retail support activities for the PAW Patrol brand.

Teletubbies duo Laa-Laa and Po [pictured] also head to these Toys R Us stores in December: Mansfield (Dec 3), Luton (Dec 4), Cardiff (Dec 10) and Poole (Dec 11).

Here are details of a selection of other character appearances scheduled for December.  As ever, please be aware that all bookings are subject to change.

December 2: The Gruffalo will be in attendance at an event taking place in Rainham in Kent, organised by Medway Council.

December 2: Trolls characters Branch and Poppy will be making in-store appearances at Selfridges in London today and then at Selfridges in Birmingham on December 3rd, undertaken on behalf of DreamWorks.

December 3: Shopping centre intu Braehead is hosting a visit from Sid from Ice Age.

December 3: The Snowman™ and The Snowdog head to Waverley Mall in Edinburgh.

December 3: The Gruffalo will be visiting Parkway Shopping Centre in Newbury.

December 3: Ben and Holly from Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom will be seeing fans today at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch.

December 4: Postman Pat is going to Resorts World Birmingham.

December 10: Today Postman Pat will be visiting shoppers at intu Braehead.

December 11: Resorts World Birmingham has arranged a visit from Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman and Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas.

December 17: Marshall from PAW Patrol will be making personal appearances at intu Braehead.

December 17: Ascot Racecourse has arranged for The Snowman and the Snowdog to make appearances.

December 17: Ice Age characters Sid and Scrat will be visiting Spindles Town Square in Oldham.

December 17: PAW Patrol’s Chase is making appearances at Burnt Oak Library in London.

December 23: London Gatwick Airport will be hosting two separate character visits today – The Gruffalo plus The Snowman and The Snowdog.

December 24: The Snowman and The Snowdog are heading to Bunn Leisure in Selsey.

December 29 & 30: On these two dates The Gruffalo is heading to intu Braehead to make appearances at intervals throughout the day.
