Opportunities for Families to see Children’s Characters in June 2015

Last month famous licensed children’s characters made guest appearances at venues across the UK, particularly during the two Bank Holiday Weekends and the Half-Term School Holiday.

May Half Term saw Peppa Pig visit fourteen intu shopping centres for some Holiday Fun, encouraging her fans to join in the Peppa Steppa and other fun activities! The Tour was managed in partnership with the eOne and intu brands and ran in centres from May 23 to May 31.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the Minions and a Power Ranger all made separate guest appearances at MCM London Comic Con in May.  During Comic Con the presence of the pizza loving Turtles also helped support the sneak peek of apparel, homeware and art on display in connection with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products joining forces with London retailer, Forbidden Planet.  The new Forbidden Planet range will be unveiled on June 6 at the megastore on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue; Leo, Raph, Donnie and Mikey will also be in-store at the launch event to oversee proceedings.

Towards the end of June a tour of Brewers Fayre restaurants by Dennis the Menace and Gnasher kicks off.  The Character Tour supports the licensed property’s association with the restaurant chain, not least the the Menacing Meals and a whole host of activity sheets for young diners to enjoy. Dennis and Gnasher are set to cause some mischief and generate an added buzz for families during their visit to Brewers Fayre.

Details about other character appearances taking place in June are found, below.  All listings provide dates when the licensed characters will visit the venue, making personal appearances at intervals on these dates. All listings are subject to last-minute changes to the location and the date; it is therefore strongly advisable to double-check details directly with venues hosting these events.

June 2: Danilo Promotions has arranged for The Minions characters Stuart, Kevin and Bob to make appearances, helping support the company’s presence on the show floor at Progressive Greetings Live in London.

June 2 & 3: Carte Blanche has arranged for two Power Rangers to attend Progressive Greetings Live.

June 4 - 6: Paddington will be attending the Royal Cornwall Show.

June 6: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles head to Forbidden Planet on London’s Shaftesbury Avenue.

June 6: The Gruffalo heads to Busy Bees Nursery in Oxford.

June 6: & 7: Park Resorts has arranged for Postman Pat to go to Kessingland Beach Holiday Park on june 6, followed by a visit to Manor Park  Holiday Park on June 7.

June 7: Leo and Raph from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are going to the Pageant of Motoring in Bromley.

June 7: Peppa Pig will be making personal appearances at Kirklees Light Railway.

June 11: Universal Pictures has arranged for The Minions to attend the film premiere.

June 14: Ben and Holly from Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom are going to Lee Valley Farm Park in Enfield.

June 14: Old MacDonald’s Farm in Brentwood has arranged a visit from Peppa Pig and George.

June 19: DHX Media’s The Twirlywoos will be making personal appearances at the BritMums Live social media and blogger event.

June 20: Paddington will be visiting Portobello Road Market in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

June 20: Fireman Sam and Norman will be going to Phasels Wood Scout Centre in Hertfordshire.

June 20 & 21: Peppa Pig and George will be making appearances in Bury, hosted by East Lancashire Railway.

June 20 & 21: Tiny and Small from the Clangers can be seen at West End Live.

June 21: Ben & Holly will be at the West End Live event today.

June 21: Miffy is set to attend a screening at Vue Cinema in Leicester Square, London.

June 27: A Tour of Brewer’s Fayre restaurants by Dennis the Menace and Gnasher kicks off today.

June 27 & 28: On June 27 The Minions will be visiting Selfridge’s store in London and then the following day, June 28, they will visit Selfridge’s in Manchester.

June 28: Peppa Pig is going to Thornton Hall Farm in Skipton.

June 28: Thomas and The Fat Controller are going to Windsor Racecourse.

June 28: Shoppers visiting Brent Cross will be able to see Paddington during his meet and greets, plus a narration.

June 28: Rainbow Productions will be managing the presence of Homer and Bart Simpson, SpongeBob SquarePants and Peppa Pig and George during the British Summer Time Hyde Park event.

June 28: Stuart, Kevin and Bob from The Minions will be making promotional personal appearances at Harrods in Knightsbridge.
