RAINBOW PRODUCTIONS RECEIVES BOA DESIGNATION: SUPPLIER OF WALKAROUND MASCOTS TO LONDON 2012

Rainbow Productions receives London 2012 Supplier Recognition Scheme licence: Supplier of walkaround mascots to London 2012 

Rainbow Productions receives a licence from the British Olympic Association (BOA) under its Supplier Recognition Scheme, awarding the company the right to use the following designation until 31^st December 2015:  Supplier of walkaround mascots to London 2012.

This BOA licence also grants the company rights to use appropriate imagery from the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) image library, including this aerial shot of the Olympic Park.

This designation is in recognition of Rainbow Productions being an Eligible Games Supplier. The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) signed a licensing agreement with Rainbow Productions to manufacture costumes and manage the personal appearances of official mascots Wenlock and Mandeville.  These walkabout mascots were launched to the public during their visit to a school in Tower Hamlets in London in May 2010.

In the 24 months leading up to London 2012 Rainbow Productions managed 1000 personal appearances of sports mascots Wenlock and Mandeville.  These appearances ranged from school visits, stadia openings, in-store activities and Olympic Torch Relay dates, through to attending Games-time events in front of spectators and broadcast to millions worldwide.
