Meet the Team GB mascot, Pride the Lion
Pride the Lion was unveiled by the British Olympic Association as the Official Team GB mascot for the 2012 Olympic Games.
In the run up to the Games he’s been attending events across the country, encouraging people to join him in supporting Team GB.
Pride the lion made his first public appearance during the Gold Challenge Olympic Stadium event which took place on April 1 2012. At this event he succeeded in winning over families in the crowd, particularly when he took part in the 100 metres on the Olympic Stadium Track.
The mascot is pictured with members of Team GB and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
